Activate your purchase

Use this guide to activate your MK Theme purchase with a Framepress serial number and understand the current Envato connection status.

Use the purchase credential from the store where you bought MK Theme. A direct Framepress order provides a Framepress serial number. A ThemeForest order provides an Envato purchase code. Both purchases include MK Studio, MovieKit and the optional YT Sheet Grid plugin.

Direct Framepress purchase

1. Find the serial number in your Framepress order details or purchase email. Keep it private.
2. On the WordPress site where MK Theme is active, open Appearance → MK Setup.
3. In Connect your purchase, enter the Framepress serial number. Read and confirm the consent statement: the theme sends your serial number, site URL and a random installation ID to Framepress.
4. Select Verify and connect. A successful result displays Framepress connected and only the final four characters of the serial number.

A Framepress licence supports one production installation and one development installation. The connected licence screen identifies its product rights and environment. If you are moving the purchase, select Disconnect this site on the old site before connecting the new one. If the old site is unavailable, contact Framepress support with your order details; do not share the serial in a public message.

ThemeForest purchase

Keep the Envato purchase code from your ThemeForest order. The current MK Setup does not accept Envato codes yet. Its purchase form is for Framepress serial numbers only. You can install the theme and included plugin ZIPs from the ThemeForest main package while the server-side Envato verification path is being completed. Do not enter an Envato code in the Framepress serial field.

If connection fails

• Number not found: recheck the full Framepress serial and the purchase channel. An Envato code is a different credential.
• Connected to another site: disconnect the old installation first, or ask support to help with a move.
• Service unavailable: retry when the connection is restored. This message does not mean the purchase is invalid.
• Too many attempts: wait before trying again.

Basic WordPress pages continue to display while purchase connection is unavailable. The included plugins can be installed from the ZIPs in the purchased main package. Continue with Install MK.

Product licences and development sites

Reference: shared Framepress client 1.2.0, included in MK Theme 0.3.273, MK Studio 0.7.305, MovieKit 2.9.72 and YT Sheet Grid 1.6.469. An MK bundle licence includes updates for all four components. A standalone MovieKit licence, when issued for that product, includes MovieKit updates only. Changing the active theme does not change the products included by the licence.

Open MovieKit → Licence or Tools → Framepress Licences to inspect the connected product, status, environment and any updates expiry date. A saved serial alone is not verified. Keep serials private.

Local development uses localhost, loopback, .local or .test hostnames. Public development uses staging.<production-domain> after the production domain is connected or reserved. Other public hostnames count as production; a reserved production domain must match the site. Disconnect this site on the old installation before moving. A cloned database at another URL must connect again.

If an updates period expires, existing movies, layouts, profiles and shortcodes continue to work; new updates/downloads require valid update access. A temporary network error differs from an explicit server revocation. Check the licence screen or contact support for your purchase-specific status. This guide does not announce a new standalone store listing or a subscription price.

Update checks require explicit consent in Tools → Framepress Updates. They send component, WordPress and PHP versions in addition to the purchase/site identifiers. Disable update checks there when needed. The public frontend does not make licence verification requests.
