YT Sheet Shortcode Generator

The YT Sheet Shortcode Generator creates a video-grid shortcode without requiring Elementor or a saved profile.

Location: WordPress admin → YT Sheet → Shortcode Generator. This screen builds a one-off [yt-sheet ...] shortcode without Elementor or a saved Profile. Select controls, choose Generate, then Copy and place the result in a WordPress Shortcode block.

The shortest shortcode is [yt-sheet], which uses global Settings defaults. With untouched generator controls, Generate currently emits [yt-sheet limit="48" ]: this explicitly sets the no-paging limit to 48. A shortcode is text; generating it does not save a Profile or check whether its feed is reachable.

Source, player and pagination

Control	Output and effect
Use custom link for this shortcode	Enables a URL field and adds `link="..."`. When off, the shortcode uses the default source in YT Sheet Settings.
Player mode	Inline (initial value), Lightbox or Off. Lightbox and Off add `player_mode`; Inline is omitted as the default.
Inline style	Top (initial value), Row or Playlist. Used only when Player mode is Inline; nondefault choices add `style`.
Max width (px)	Blank or 0 leaves width unrestricted. A positive value adds `player_maxw`.
Pagination Mode	None (legacy limit), Load more or Pagination. None adds `limit`; the other modes add `mode` and `per_page`. Load more also adds `step`.
Limit; Per page; Step	Conditional inputs for the chosen pagination mode. Blank values fall back to current Settings defaults when Generate is selected.

Features and filter controls

Deep linking	Allows shareable `?v=` links. Turning it off adds `deeplink="0"`.
Search; Search scope	Adds a search bar and can choose Visible items or Whole feed (index). Whole-feed indexing places all items in page HTML and can make large pages heavier.
Sort	Adds column sort controls. Search scope is also relevant when Search, Sort or Filters panel is enabled.
SEO schema	Adds `seo="1"` for JSON-LD VideoObject output when item metadata supports it.
Enable panel	Adds a left Filters panel. When enabled, set Panel title, Breakpoint and Sidebar width, then add filter rows with Field key, Label, Checkboxes/Dropdown, Multi and Search. The generator encodes those rows into the shortcode.
Enable chips; Field key	Adds clickable chips above the grid. Field key identifies the data column, commonly `genres`.

Cache, CSS and sticky player

Cache (minutes)	Blank uses the default from Settings; a different number adds `cache`.
CSS class	Adds a custom `class` attribute for styling the grid.
Enable sticky	Adds `sticky="yes"`. Set corner Position, Width, Height, Min screen and Margin as needed; the generator omits unchanged sticky defaults.
Generate; Copy	Generate refreshes the output text. Copy is enabled after output exists. Paste the result into the editor and publish the page to test it.

The generator starts from a direct/default feed. To reuse a built My Source with detailed layout controls, create a Profile and use its generated profile shortcode.
